The father of Psychosynthesis, Roberto Assagioli had an insight about human’s relationship to their soul. Given a visual representation in the Egg diagram. The soul is seen as the guiding light which we can perceive when we are well centred, physically, emotionally and mentally. Only then can we receive this insight in a way that serves our ability to navigate through the experiences of of this life in a joyful way with the spirit of adventure.

The egg is the diagram of wholeness is the promise of synthesis. It requires groundedness and inspiration. Fluidity of movement between the three realms. In Psychosynthesis these realms are; the basic unconscious, the middle unconscious the the higher unconscious or super-conscious.

Deep mind is the levels of consciousness where synthesis occurs between the inner and outer experience. Symbolic meaning reveals information and healing from the three realms, referred to by indigenous healers as the lower world, the middle world and the upper world. Traditional healing includes ancient practices that facilitate, inner knowing and integration.

In Brittania this healing was with the use of the bardic arts as part of the druid Initiation and mastery through the power of song, storytelling and oracular speech.

The symbol of traditional healing universally is the World Tree which can be seen as a description of the psyche and the physical body and it’s energy systems. In this way we can ‘journey’ to different aspects of our experience and work with them somatically.

Our Brains

“The number of specialized nervous system cells, namely neurons and glia, that live in a person’s gut is roughly equivalent to the number found in a cat’s brain.”article link

The right brain is our connection capacity to the outside world. It is stimulated by opening to wonder, curiosity and joy for life. Where the left brain can be envisaged as a filling cabinet or wall of cupboards and predictability, the right brain is all wavy lines and organic shapes and spontaneity. If Left brain’s motto was “I know this, let me tell you”. Right brains motto could be “Hello world, what are we co-creating today?” When we encompass the Body Brain and look at our nervous system the impression dawns that we are indeed wired for connection, and the wiring is exquisite.
